Dancap Website Questions

Do I need to have 'cookies' turned on when I visit dancptickets.com?

Yes. In order to get the most out of the material offered on dancptickets.com, your browser needs to have cookies enabled. Cookies may be enabled/disabled via your browser security settings.

How do I clear my browser cache?

As you view web pages, your browser stores the pages and content on your computer in a temporary location called the 'cache'. Browsers can retrieve web pages from the cache faster than getting them from the web, so the cache is a good time-saving device for pages you return to repeatedly. If you’re viewing a webpage that’s frequently updated, you may want to empty the cache to force the browser to retrieve the latest version, rather than viewing the local cached version.

Please choose the instructions for the browser you use below:

Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.0 + : To clear the cache in IE, you must use the 'Internet Options' menu which can be accessed by clicking once on the 'View' selection found across the top of the IE browser between the 'Edit' and 'Go' drop down menus. Click once on the 'Internet Options' selection to display the menu.

By using the tab menus at the top, select the tab titled 'General Options'. Click once on the 'Delete Files' button. You will be prompted with a pop-up box that asks if you wish to delete all temporary Internet files. Click 'OK'. You have successfully cleared your cache.

Netscape 4.0 + : To access the cache menu, click on 'Edit' on the top tool bar. Move your cursor down to the selection marked 'Preferences' and select 'Network Preferences'. A menu with several selections will appear. Double click on the 'Category' marked 'Advanced', which will in turn display several options, one being for cache. Select the 'Cache' option and click on both buttons, 'Disk Cache' and 'Memory Cache'. Make certain you click 'OK' when Netscape prompts you with a message asking you if you want to remove disk/memory cache files. After you clear both disk and memory caches you can exit the 'Preferences' menu.

To place Netscape in a mode that will force each page to download upon view, select 'Verify Documents Every Time' in Cache and Network Preferences. Please note that this may affect your navigation speed.

Firefox 2.0.0.4 + : To clear the cache, select 'Tools' from the menu, then 'Clear Private Data'. Ensure the checkbox 'cache' is selected, then click the 'Clear Private Data' button to clear the cache.

Safari 2.0.0.4 + : To clear the cache in Safari, click the 'Safari' menu option, and then click 'Empty cache'.

I am having problems connecting to one of your pages. When I do my computer locks up. What's going on?

There are several possibilities:

A browser error may have occurred. If this is the case, close the browser, reopen it, and try again. If other people can access the site, it may be a problem with your web page cache. Your ISP (Internet Service Provider) may have a problem with their servers. Try accessing other pages, and if the problem persists, contact your ISP or System Administrator.

If your computer is older or poorly maintained you will definitely experience performance issues:

  • Your computer may not have adequate processing power
  • Your computer may not have enough free RAM (Internal Memory)
  • There may be a hardware conflict on your system
  • You may have too many foreground/background processes active leaving little free resources
  • Your network connection may be experiencing delays, lag or other connectivity issues, or may be unsuitable to keep up with rich media content

Why do web pages not fit on my screen?

If you are experiencing problems viewing the dancptickets.com website within your screen and you must scroll left and right, please follow these instructions to increase your screen resolution.

For PC users:

1) Go to Desktop
2) Right click on your mouse
3) Click on Properties
4) Click on the Settings tab
5) Go to "Desktop Area" and move the slide to 1024x768 pixels (or higher/more)

For MAC users:

1) From the application menu, choose Preferences.
2) Open System Preferences and click Displays to display its preferences.
3) Click the Display tab; your display's supported resolution settings are listed in the Resolutions pane, from the smallest to the largest size dimensions.
4) Select any of the dimensions to change the resolution. A smaller resolution gives you less desktop space to display windows and interfaces, but these elements also appear larger.

A larger resolution maximizes your screen space, letting you see more of a photo or document, and can help you manage applications whose interface elements span multiple windows. Dancptickets.com is best viewed with the resolution size of 1024x768 pixels or greater. This is the standard that most sites use.
